Therapeutic Massage has benefits of stress reduction, relaxation, relief from muscle tension, pain and spasm, increased circulation, and energy flow. Therapeutic Massage is not a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, care or treatment. There can be cautions and contraindications to massage. It is the discretion of the practitioner to identify if a caution/contraindication exists and what adjustments must be made in the massage.
Special Considerations. It is the client’s responsibility to keep the therapist informed of any changes in health status, any allergies or sensitivities, if client is pregnant, has high blood pressure, or a heart condition, or taking any medication. Client understands that the therapist shall not be liable should she fail to do so. Any of the following conditions may affect the success of therapist’s ability to perform your requested treatment or service, and may require doctor’s approval. Please advise the Therapist if you are: Pregnant Have any injury Have had recent surgery Have an infectious disease or condition
Appointments. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment. If a client is late for an appointment, time is deducted from session, but fee remains the same. An extension of schedule service times only if time is permitting. Therapist holds the right to refuse services that day. Initial appointments may take up to 30 minutes longer for client intake and information.
Cancellations. Should a cancellation or date change be necessary, we require a minimum of 24-hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Appointments cancelled in less than the required time will be billed 75% of the price of each service the first time and 100% all subsequent times you fail to cancel. Policy for NO shows: 2 no shows and client will not be re-booked or referred. When guests cancel less than 24 hours prior, we are unable to fill those times slots and this results in lost income to the therapist. Please understand that the therapist makes their living by providing services to our clients. If practitioner is late or unable to show, fees are adjusted.
Method of Payment. Fees are required at time of service, unless other arrangements are made in advance. Only Cash or Check are accepted at this time. There is a $25 fee for all returned checks. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Fee schedule is posted. Gratuities are not included in price of service. Our best reward is your personal recommendation of therapist. However, additional tips may be securely left for your therapists at time of check out should you choose
Gift Certificates make an ideal gift for any occasion. Gift certificates are available in any dollar amount and can be used for any treatment service. Gift certificates are valid for 6 months. Gift Certificates are not refundable or redeemable for cash or refund. Therapist does not replace lost gift certificates. Gift certificates, like cash, can be used by anyone and it is not possible to track their use. In order to redeem a gift certificate, you must present the original at the time of purchase.
Groups of three or more require a 50% non-refundable deposit Monday - Friday, 100% non-refundable deposit is required for group reservations on Saturdays upon schedule availability. Canceling or changing appointments for groups requires 72 hours notice in order to avoid being charged in full for the services. Sorry, we are unable to cancel or alter Saturday group reservations. Other rules apply and will be discussed when booking a group or event. Sorry we are unable to accept coupons for group events.
Cell Phones. Please be considerate of other clients and mute your cell phones and pagers when entering the clinic.
Suggestions. We are dedicated to making each visit with us a great experience in every way. Please tell us of any opportunity to improve. We value your suggestions
We regret that we cannot be responsible for loss or damage of personal articles. Please keep all valuables with you during your appointments. Children. Unfortunately our facility cannot accommodate children who do not have an appointment. The clinic is a place of relaxation for all clients. Please make other arrangements for your children while you are in the clinic. Therapeutic massage services are available to children 17 years of age with written parental permission, and they are accompanied by a parent &/or guardian. As parent or legal guardian of the minor client, I will remain within sight and hearing of my child during the entire intake and therapy session.
If Client is a Child, Parent/Guardian has stated all of the child’s known medical conditions on the Client Information Form and has consulted a medical doctor or licensed medical health care practitioner regarding any checked or described conditions.
Therapeutic Massage is a profession, which follows professional guidelines and code of ethics. A complete list of all policies and guidelines will be provided to the client at the first appointment. Code of Ethics American Massage Therapy Association
This Code of Ethics is a summary statement of the standards by which massage therapists agree to conduct their practices and is a declaration of the general principles of acceptable, ethical, professional behavior.
Massage therapists shall: Demonstrate commitment to provide the highest quality massage therapy/bodywork to those who seek their professional service. Acknowledge the inherent worth and individuality of each person by not discriminating or behaving in any prejudicial manner with clients and/or colleagues. Demonstrate professional excellence through regular self-assessment of strengths, limitations, and effectiveness by continued education and training. Acknowledge the confidential nature of the professional relationship with clients and respect each client's right to privacy. Conduct all business and professional activities within their scope of practice, the law of the land, and project a professional image. Refrain from engaging in any sexual conduct or sexual activities involving their clients. Accept responsibility to do no harm to the physical, mental and emotional well-being of self, clients, and associates.
